I have quite literally banned my fiance from wearing printed T-shirts.

They are a little like leopard print – they take tact to be able to wear in a fashionable manner and simply spell disaster if you don't have the stylishness of say Jay Z, Robert Pattinson or David Beckham.



Now I'm not saying that they shouldn’t be worn, just simply that to wear a printed Tshirt stylishly, you need to be doing more than simply throwing it on with your baggy jeans and sneakers – you need to be high-fashionizing it in a way you would a Versace blouse or Ralph Lauren trousers!

Tshirts have a childlike quality to them, a youthfulness that can leave you looking like your trying to revisit your teens - those irresponsible and reckless day. Which is possible NOT the projection you were looking for. Wearing a Tshirt also suggests a chilled approach to fashion, an easy going and low-key attitude. The second of the two being the more becoming attribute. But neither all that inspiring.



Now if you were wanting to make a T-shirt an inspiring fashion item, then THIS is the season to be doing it!

The forefront fashionistas have been pairing printed T's (mostly animal print!) with graphic shorts, leather mini skirts, layers of jewellery, sky-high heels and jet-black shades!



It's now become an item that is more than something you throw on to wear down to the supermarket – it's a statement piece!

When looking for the right T for you – make sure to invest!

A cheap T is just not going to cut it! Saggy cotton and faded prints are far from fashionably cool. Look out instead for high end designers who are producing a quirky range, fit for a fashionista!

Work in with the seasons tends – digital print being a big look this season – and one that plays out well on T-shirts.

Remember – a T-shirt is more than a comfort piece, it can be a fashion piece!
