|Prada, Kiev, Ukraine|
The international news site Leatherbiz reports that Italian fashion house Prada has opened its first own-brand boutique in Ukraine. The flag-ship store can be found in the luxury shopping area of Kiev, the Khreshatyk Passage. The opening coincides with the influx of visitors to Kiev for the European Soccer Championship which kicked off on June 8th.
Designed by Architect Roberto Baciocchi, the shop covers 554 square-metres across two levels. The luxury interior includes perspex, glass and polished steel display cases that are matched with Saffiano leather in bright colors. Clover Leaf leather couches designed by Verner Panton have been custom made for the new outlet.
The Khreshatyk Passage also includes mono-brand stores of Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Bvlgari and so on and is thus “the place to be” in Kiev.
The store stocks Prada women’s leathergoods, accessories, shoes and clothing collections, with the ground floor entirely dedicated to leathergoods.
