Peru now has its first boutique in Paris in Le Marais quarter to promote its pioneering fashion and its crafts according to the commercial attaché of the Peruvian embassy in the French capital.
It is the first outlet specializing in brands of apparel and accessories from Peruvian designers concentrating on contemporary creations.
For the time being Misk’Illa is showing the products of three brands and the Peruvian designers, Lole Bahe, Stella Pardo and Susan Wagner, explained Carmen Espinoza Lorgueilleux, manager of the outlet and expert in graphic design, to the EFE news service.
Espinoza added that the next step is to include creations of Torito Bo, Marcello Toshi and Andrea Llosa – the latter a designer based in Barcelona.
The objective is to promote Peruvian creations and offer a different idea about Peru and its high level of craftsmanship.
Espinoza concluded by saying that the name of the boutique is a word in the indigenous Quechua language which means “softly”.
