Italian footwear brand Geox plan to invest in Serbia, setting up a new factory in the southern city of Nis to leverage on the country's cheap labour costs.

Reports have suggested that the new Geox factory will employ as many as 500 people. Geox founder, Mario Moretti Polegato, said during a visit to Serbia at the end of April that he was keen to expand the business into new countries.
