Jean Paul Gaultier debuts its first Beijing fashion show at the new Chaoyang Urban Planning Museum, showcasing the fall/winter men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and couture collections.
With several retail stores in place in China, the French designer opened a store last November at the Shin Kong Place Mall in Beijing. A new boutique is planned for later this year in the northeastern city of Shenyang, bringing Gaultier’s store count to five in China.
Showing no sign of slowing down, Gaultier, who just celebrated his sixtieth birthday and nearly forty years in his chosen career, discussed his plans to collaborate with Madonna on her upcoming MDNA tour, which begins at the end of May.
