Spanish-based Inditex Group has outlined growth plans totalling €300 million (£235.5 million) at its recent general meeting, stressing on making growth and creating job in its native Spain.
One of the major projects currently underway is the €100 million (£78.5 million) expansion of the group's headquarters in Arteixo, which will lead to the creation of 400 new jobs.
In Tordera, the construction of a new Massimo Dutti - one of Inditex's brands - logistics centre will give rise to 500 jobs, with €190 million (£149 million) being put into the state-of-the-art building.
Inditex last week announced that it would be absorbing the costs of a three per cent general VAT rise imposed by the country's prime minister Mariano Rajoy in order to maintain its “stable pricing policy”.
