After its formal launch at APLF 2010 in Hong Kong the Leather Naturally! campaign has made positive steps to raise the level of consciousness and understanding about the qualities of leather through various initiatives.
APLF - Materials, Manufacturing & Technology, Fashion Access and Prime Source Forum have kicked off on 25 March 2013. It is the gathering place that brings together international players and buyers of leather and fashion industry. LeatherNaturally! is a members organisation supported by the contributions of tanners and others involved in leather to support the Brand Leather as a natural sustainable material.
During the All China Leather Exhibition the lead spokesman for the Leather Naturally! initiative, Mike Redwood, gave an update on the latest developments in the research behind the campaign to promote and defend leather, as well as educating consumers, fashion schools and designers about it.
According to the leading news web site Leathermag stakeholders and other interested parties met at the All China Leather Exhibition in China to outline the initial results of the research work carried out so far and to recruit new members. Leather Naturally is seeking to promote leather as a material to the end consumer as well as reaching out to designers and stylists.
